As well the Conaxsat Trio has Divx that supports up to 480p, 720p and 1080i picture quality.Conaxsat Trio PVR FTA Satellite Receiver

The major diference between this reciever and the Conaxsat Duo is that the Conaxsat Duo does not have a DIVX player. This requires the Conaxsat Trio to have a dual core processor, one for the STB functions and one for the DIVX player. Also, the Conaxsat Duo has two USB ports while the Conaxsat Trio has three USB ports.

The Conaxsat Trio PVR's 180 MIPS Processor will have you channel surfing and multi-tasking at the blink of an eye. The Conaxsat CNX Trio PVR also houses 4MB of flash memory as well as 32MB of system memory. The DIVX player houeses a 266MHZ processor with 32MB RAM.

Other notable features include the ability to play the followingmovie formats in DIVX mode: MPG, MPEG, DAT, VOB, AVI: XviD, DivX3.x/4.x/5.x

If you don't need Dual Tuner PVR functionality or true 1080p High-Definition reception, the Conaxsat Trio PVR is a great choice of third-generation FTA satellite receivers.

The Conaxsat Trio PVR outperforms the Conaxsat Duo PVR and the Conaxsat Mini PVR.

Comparative Buying Guide

Compare the Conaxsat CNX Trio PVR to our other Standard Definition USB 2.0 Single Tuner PVR receivers:
Comparison Highlights: The Conaxsat Trio PVR competes head-on with the Sonicview 360 Premier, CaptiveWorks Ultima PVR, Viewsat VS Pro, Coolsat 7100 Micro PVR, Pansat 250SM PVR, Pansat 150M PVR, CaptiveWorks 800S PVR, Conaxsat Duo PVR, Consaxsat Mini PVR and Conaxsat Nano PVR. Each is a single tuner USB 2.0 Standard Definition receiver. The Sonicview SV-360 Premier PVR is competitively priced and offers fundamentally the same features with better overall picture quality.

The Conaxsat Trio has three USB ports. The Sonicview SV-360 Premier PVR, CaptiveWorks Ultima PVR, Coolsat 7100 Micro PVR, Viewsat Pro PVR, and Conaxsat Duo all have two USB ports. The Pansat 250SM PVR, Pansat 150M PVR, CaptiveWorks 800S PVR, Conaxsat Nano PVR and Conaxsat Mini PVR all have only one USB port. The CaptiveWorks Ultima is the only one of these Standard Definition USB 2.0 Single Tuner PVR receivers that has a video game emulator installed. The Conaxsat Trio is the only one of these Standard Definition USB 2.0 Single Tuner PVR receivers that has a DIVX player installed. However, the cost for these two specific receivers is much pricier than the rest in the bunch.

If you're in the market for a dual tuner FTA satellite receiver, you should definitely check out the versatile Sonicview SV-360 Elite PVR, which is a true dual tuner, has 3 USB 2.0 ports, and costs only a few dollars more than the single-tuner Viewsat VS Pro and Conaxsat Duo.

The price-for-features of the Sonicview SV-360 Premier PVR, plus Sonicview's stellar reputation for accessibility and support means that either of the Sonicview models is likely the best choice for you, depending on your budget and exactly which features you need.
