The Neosat Pro is Neosat's response to the demand for a leaner, less expensive version of the popular Neosat iPRO 2000 free-to-air satellite receiver. The Neosat Pro features the capabilities of the iPRO 2000, but does not include the iPRO 2000's built-in Ethernet network adapter. (Though the Pro is Ethernet-ready; you'll just need to purchase an add-on adapter.)

The Neosat Pro is a single tuner, Standard Definition receiver with Personal Video Recording (PVR) functionality. Sporting a speedy 203MHz processor, 64MB of SDRAM memory, and 8MB of Flash memory, this PVR/DVR lets you Watch-and-Record your favorite satellite TV programs. You can even pause and rewind live TV, ala TiVo and other DVRs.

The Neosat Pro has one USB port, which allows you to connect hard drives and multimedia devices, and perform Neosat software bin file updates. You can also update software and transfer data through the Pro's traditional RS-232 port.

The Neosat Pro includes popular FTA receiver features such as an Electronic Program Guide (EPG) and Picture-in-Graphic (PIG) support. Fully MPEG-2 and DVB-compliant, the Neosat pro includes these component and composite outputs: S-VHS, S-Video and S/PDIF optical output for digital audio or Dolby AC3 bitstream output, CVBS, RCA output for Video, Audio L/R and RCA Composite Video Output (Y, Pb, Pr). ??

Other noteworthy Neosat Pro features include: Automatic search for newly added transponders (Network Auto Search), 5,000-channel TV and radio program memory capacity.
